Hello Everyone!
I hope your first real day of summer vacation went well. I went to visit a beautiful garden in New Hampshire with some teacher friends. I also started reading my first summer book--Summer of the Gypsy Moths by Sara Pennypacker. It is weird so far, but I've heard good things about this book (which is by the same author as the Clementine books and the book Stuart's Cape).
On Thursday, I'm going to California to a huge library meeting. I am sure to see some authors that kids will know and will be sure to share who I see and what new books I hear about. While I'm there I will see my nieces Olive and Luna, who are 3 and 1. What books do you think they would like me to bring to them?
I hope you've signed up for summer reading at the Waltham Library. Did anyone go to the Pajama Party last week? How was it? Write back!!

Hi Mrs. Paradis,this is Billy Hanley. I have my own library card, and I signed up summer reading at the Waltham Library. I read a book called Scaredy Squirrel at Night. We got some sports books out. I got a mohawk! And I'm going to baseball camp.

Billy--sports books are perfect for you! Let me know if you read anything good that we should get for the library. Have a blast playing baseball and I will try to look for a boy with a mohawk on the fields of Waltham.
